Getting married on Friday. No dress! Help!

To cut a very long story short, I desperately need a dress for my wedding on Friday. Cutting it fine a little! I'm roughly a size 8 and think I would like a full length maxi style. It's an informal affair on the coast with just 25 guests.

There are a few by BHS and monsoon but my size typically sold out and express delivery by BHS won't arrive until Sat 20th for some reason?!

Help!

Have you got a bhs nearby? The bigger stores stock the wedding range, I was in the Manchester one last week and they had lots in each size for every dress, they have a beautiful knee length lace one x

Busy looking at JL, H of F and Hobbs Outlet now but nothing is standing out.

Debenhams do off the peg. Bridal shops sometimes have dresses that are ex samples to sell off. Apparently tesco is now doing wedding dresses too!

I passed a charity shop that had a beautiful wedding dress in its window earlier.

As pp says try John Lewis/House of Fraser - coast usually has nice dresses too.

Does it have to be a dress? White trouser suits can look very swish.

what about a wedding dress hire place?

You could check the Oxfam online shop - they have a bridal section and beautiful dresses some are new, some second hand. I'm not sure how quickly they deliver, but I think you can order two or three dresses and return the ones you don't like.

Asos have got lots of white and cream maxi dresses in that are lovely

Also, some wedding dresses can be cut a bit small, so if you see something you like, but it's only available in a 10, it might be worth a try anyway.

Tesco have wedding dress. They've got it in size 8 and you can do a click and collect to your local store for the next day.

Manchester City centre (Arndale), I got bridesmaid dresses from there last week & the sizing was spot on & the wedding dresses are beautiful.

What about visiting an Indian clothes store? There are some lovely Lehenga cholis.. quite popular with non Asian women for wedding attire. My friend wore a lovely grey/pale pink one for her wedding and looked amazing.

I think that whatever you choose; it's very important you try it on before you buy given that you only have a few short days to sort it out.
