What to wear for a christening?

I haven't been to one before. Or indeed set foot in a church since primary school so not sure on etiquette or what most people wear.
Shoulders covered? Is just above knee length ok (not mini!)
I'm not a godparent or anything, just a guest.
Hopefully I can recycle something from my wardrobe already, but I don't take much persuading to buy something new Grin

Size 10, platinum/silver cropped hair and I'm in my 20s. Open to trousers/skirt/dress whatever.
Thanks Wine

Most people wear something smart, you will be fine in most things even a mini dress ! Cover your shoulders if its cold (churches usually are) i personally would wear a nice daytime dress and have a cardi/jacket with me.

Generally what you'd wear to a wedding but just a bit more demure and no need for hat etc. I'm going to one next week, wearing a knee length dress I wore to another wedding, but with a cardigan and lower heels this time.

I think dress more informally than a wedding, more Sunday lunch at a smart pub.
Trousers are fine, a simple dress, cardi rather than structured jacket.
Definitely no hat.
