Sheer NW3 blouse styling help pls

I bought this lovely blouse from a vintage shop the other day. Its a Hobbs NW3 one and is sheer almost baby pink with ivory birds on it. I would wear a camisole under it.

Any questions about it say to wear with a pencil skirt but when I have tried it on with black skirts it doesn't look right. Jeans are fine. I'm thinking denim skirt but maybe a stone or white/light pink skirt and if so what to wear?! HELP

A light grey pencil skirt would be smart with it for office wear, jeans - great, denim skirt I think would be a bit odd as the shirt is quite formal/dressy and denim skirts are not. It might look hepburn-y with tailored cropped black trousers and black ballet flats?
