Recommend me a perfume for a Greek Island holiday.

I love to have a special holiday perfume which I then always associate with that place and time.
I'm struggling ot find one for Greece this summer. Any recommendations?

Previous holiday perfumes:

Rome in summer- Cristalle Chanel
Disney world florida- Marc Jacobs Dot.
Andalucia- Orange smelling one from M and S, may have been Roger and gallet?
Florence- Chance
London winter- Coco
Corfu- Bronze Goddess estee lauder

What might be right for a Greek Island this year?
(Corfu was Bronze Goddess but I wasn't wowed overall by this and I want a perfume just for this holiday.)

Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt

Thank you for your suggestions.

I went into town at the weekend wanting to try Ninfeo Mio as recommended here, but frustrating they (selfridges) did not have the tester for it.

I did try Fico di Amalfi but I wasn't wowed I think it maybe got 'lost' among all the other smells about. I love the description of it so may try it again on its own in isolation to really see.

I did try Jo maloone Fig and cassis but hated this. It was cloying, so now I'm wondering if I should avoid fig?

I may try Jo malone sea salt one.

I also wanted to try Jardin sur le mediteranee Hermes but they didn't have this either.

I'm also going to try eau de merveilles as I'm loving the sound of this.

Trouble is I need lots of research time to find the right perfume or this holiday and work is getting in the way!

Acqua di Parma Blu Meditteraneo - Mirto di Panarea

Light and citrusy and fresh and flowery without being cloying.

My favourite perfume.

BartholomewCrouch · 15/06/2015 09:16

I want to avoid coconutty for Greece.

Coconut says tropical to me rather than meditteranen.

I like fresh, citrus, dry, clean, ocean salty, herbal...

But I do like good sillage and it not just a skin scent.

And contrarily I don't like acquatic perfumes eg Issey Miyake (sorry not tim to check spelling)

Am looking at all suggestions.

Bobbi brown beach

Batucada by L'artisan Parfumeur - cocktail in a bottle, citrusy and salty with coconut but not a prominent note.
Hermes pamplemousse Rose or any of the Miller Harris citrus's - Fleur du Matin is delightfully fresh and citrusy/herbal.

OttiliaVonBCup · 15/06/2015 11:57

Have you tried Eau de Sud or Eau d'Adrien?
That might be something.

Sel de vetivert by the Different Company or Fleurs de Sel by Miller Harris are exactly what you describe on your post, they are a bit expensive though.

OttiliaVonBCup · 15/06/2015 12:06

I misspelt that, sorry
Eau d'Hadrien

squoosh · 15/06/2015 12:25

I second Diptyque's Philosykos. Smells like a Greek fig grove in the evening.

youjusthaventearnedityetbaby · 15/06/2015 12:31

I second Eau des Merveilles... lovely.
Stella Mccartney Lily?

hollyisalovelyname · 15/06/2015 14:35

Annick Goutal Eau de Hadrien
or Ninfeo Mio
L'Occitane's new mens fragrance Cedrat - really lovely.
L'Occitane Verbena
and of course the Aqua di perfumes.
There is a perfume called Sculpture I can't remember who it is by- perhaps a Greek designer and it is really lovely but may be discontinued.
You could try samples out from the website Surrender to Chance.

hollyisalovelyname · 15/06/2015 14:38

Sculpture by Nikos.
Isn't Google wonderful Smile

polyhymnia · 15/06/2015 15:50

Eau d'Hadrien is my favourite. Also like Annick Goutal's Eau du Sud tho that has a touch of ( not cloying ) fig.
Also Diir Escale a Portofino.

polyhymnia · 15/06/2015 15:50

Dior!

yazzy85 · 15/06/2015 17:05

Chance Eau Fraiche is also lovely

Katbat66 · 15/06/2015 17:14

Estee Lauder Private Collection - the Tuberose & Gardenia version. Just gorgeous.

Jo Malone - Orange Blossom.

MissBattleaxe · 15/06/2015 17:35

polyhymnia- Dior what? There's loads!

KatBat- I agree about Tuberose and Gardenia being gorgeous but possibly not for a Greek island.

Fig or a citrusy hesperide would be best in that kind of heat IMO.
