Decent hand cream?

I suffer with really badly with dry hands. Until very recently, Body Shop's hemp hand cream (in the metal tube) was my saviour. Unfortunately it seems they've changed the formulation as my last three purchases have been nowhere near as good. The cream feels thinner / lighter, not as thick and rich as previously and it doesn't work as well for me.

Any recommendations for an alternative?

The boots botanics over night hand mask....I use it as a regular cream.

I have very dry hands & very sensitive skin in general.
I use an SOS hand cream from Lidl, which I stumbled on purely by chance. It's a really thick one & works better than any other for me.

My favourite is La Roche Posay Cicaplast Mains - non greasy but v moisturising. Buy online for about 6 quid

I really like Elizabeth Arden 8 hr hand cream

nutragina Norwegen formula stuff is excellent - the lidl SOS (a dupe of the same) is also very good indeed.

Kiehls ultimate strength hand salve. Saved my hands and is well worth the money. Closely followed by l'occitane.

I have a manual job, have previously worked with various solvents and industrial cleaning agents and also had horses so was out in all weathers battering my hands.

They look normal now I've discovered this. No cracking, splitting, peeling or generally being rough as sandpaper. It's fab.

I also like the l'occitane hand scrub but you can make your own with brown sugar and oil (any oil!)

This Garnier hand cream is fantastic. I'm obsessed with hand creams. This is one of the best I've tried. I'm really lax about using rubber gloves etc when washing up/doing housework etc so I need a good hand cream to combat that. This works. And it smells lush too.

Another vote for l'occitane!

La Roche Posay Cicaplast. Or LRP lipikar xerand, which is a little bit lighter.

Aveeno, Lush Helping Hands, L'Occitane are my favourites. Neutrogena works, but I don't like the ointmenty texture. I agree that the Body Shop ones are watery.

I agree that they've done something to the body shop handcream. I bought some a few weeks ago, it's horrible now. Had to stop using it.

O'keeffes working hands hand cream is great

I've just finished a Dove one (white tube with maroon writing). It was easily absorbed and for the first time every I didn't get any cracking on and between my fingers this winter. Just using up one I was given as a present, but will buy the Dove one again for winter.

Night time - Vaseline and cotton gloves ( I wear vinyl gloves at work and handwash 40+ times a day at work alone)

Bodyshop hemp for bed, although my cat will try to lick it off....

Daytime, atm I have the Aveeno one at work at the Aldi ProRevive one for home. Both due the job on my over washed dry hands absolutely fine, absorb really quickly and don't leave a ghastly stench or sticky residue. I have tried a lot of hand creams (HPC constantly hand washing) and these two are probably my favourite. A lot of the richer and more expensive ones just take a bloody age to sink in and you don't feel like you can touch anything or anyone until they have taken their own sweet time being absorbed.

For night time, and this has been an absolute revelation, I'm almost ashamed at the amount of money I must have spent over the years on handcream to help my cracked hands, is Aldi's 10% urea foot cream.
I wake up in the morning and I have the hands of a French aristocrat. Brilliant stuff. Bought at full price for £1.99, bought at sale price of 99p. Great bloody tube of the stuff. Next time I see if for sale I'm going to get 6. If I run out before then I'll just buy a supermarket generic foot cream with urea in. Au revoir fancy expensive hand creams.

I use Silcocks base on my hands and find it's the only thing that helps my hands. They get very dry and cracked so I try and use this before I get into bed as a preventative measure.
