Help me find a COTTON summer dress!

Hi, I went to the shops and looked online and I didn't find any summer dress which was

• 100% cotton
• slightly above the knee (not too short, not too long)
• nice solid color or subtle print (I dislike big floral prints in Boden style, geometric prints, stripes etc)
• fitted on the waist

Have you tried Gap? I was very surprised to find many cotton dresses on their website, all modelled by very young girls but I'm 51 and bought one. It's black, fitted top and just about knee length. They're always having sales too.

Uniqlo?

I was going to suggest the Uniqlo one Fairy linked to - I'm wearing it today in navy and it's brilliant.

What's the sizing like, lurking? I keep looking at it, but haven't ordered from Uniqlo before so don't know what to order.

The daft website says this is viscose but I can assure you it's 100% cotton. I bought it today and it's very flattering on. Not normally a shop I go for

I think their sizing is generous. I'm a big 12 and got a medium and it's quite big.

Sainsbury Tu have cotton dresses, they are also lined, some even have pockets!

I've got a nice knee length navy one with a tie waist.
Its sleeveless, but not strappy.

Red Herring in Debenhams have some that are 95% cotton.

Boden have some in solid colours.
Mantary at debenhams are good for cotton but the prints tend to be loud.

Oly. On your recommendation I Just went to fatface and bought your dress in 2 colours and 3 others

It's not a shop I would normally go in, but they have some really lovely un mumsy dresses at the moment!

Www.trolliedolly.com have lots of cotton dresses at the moment, with some nice prints.
