can I use neutral shoe cream on a leather handbag?

My bag looks a bit worn out do you think that would perk it up or ruin it?

I'm in the same situation. I have cried off using tan/brown shoes polish as I'm worried about rub off on clothes. I think neutral is a great idea.

I hadn't thought about it rubbing off actually - do you think it would be too greasy? I wonder if there's special stuff you can get for handbags

I've done this and bag looked great eventually but I used far too much and it took loads of rubbing in. Start with a small amount!
