How do you store boots?

As summer is upon us I am making space and putting away my boots.

Now, while they're not Jimmy Choos some are suede were a little pricey (for me) and I feel if I were to stuff them into a big plastic box they might get scuffed. I still have some of their original boxes and am not sure whether to scrap them or not.

Can you please tell me how you store yours?

I keep mine in fabric bags or pillow cases if I don't have the box, inside an under bed storage bag from dunelm. No dust or dirt gets to the shoe.
For shoes costing over £50 I try to keep the box (I have about 20 pairs of designer to good high street iyswim) flip flops and ballet pumps I don't bother. My dh put up high shelves (above head height) once when I was out and stashed them up there ... actually works superbly as a seasonal storage idea.

Now trainers ... a whole other category ... Grin

I have 4 pairs of knee high boots which all cost over £200. I use boot trees and store then in original boxes. All my shoes and ankle boots are in boxes too
