Help - dressy dress needed urgently!

I have a do that I'm going to next weekend. It's afternoon/evening and it's not black tie but needs to be fairly dressy. I've just realised I need to find something asap.

The problem is that I'm 14/16 and my lardy stomach won't cope with anything bodycon or too fitted. I'm 5'10" and my legs are ok, would also prefer nothing strapless as I'm about a 40DD on top. I love 50s/60s style but they need to be fairly forgiving around the waistline. It can be maxi or knee length but not mini.

Any ideas, wise MNers? Please help me!

Would something like this be any good? www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_028020454191_-1

No dress advice but Zombie if you are a 14/16 I'm willing to bet you are not a 40DD and it would be well worth checking out the bra intervention threads as you are more likely a 34G

navy
blue floral
pink
coral or grey

Ooh, faux I like that blue floral and I don't generally go for florals. And bua that coral is lovely and again, not something I would have thought of originally.

gary You think so? I was measured at Rigby & Peller about 2 years ago and came out at a 38DD. Had to buy some new bras recently but couldn;t afford R&P at the time and didn't trust M&S to measure me properly so I just tried on a load until some fitted (yes, I know) and those were 40DD. The 38s were really too tight and cut in. I'll go back to R&P as soon as I get a chance.

This is really helpful! Any other suggestions anyone?
