Jackets for nights out

I want to get a jacket tomorrow to wear evening for a meal out with jeans & nice top.
I am clueless when it comes to putting things together so was hoping for some suggestions of where to buy and or some links please.
I am only 5'3" so often jackets can swamp me especially in the arms. Any suggestions please?
