Pesky old time.

Awh they're so good and bizarrely it makes me want to buy them more Hmm

Red eye hah. I love how the descriptions are super long but don't actually make any sense or tell you about the products at all.

TheWombat we should start a Konglish dictionary! Watery is actually a good thing; crumbly eyes are a bad thing...

GertrudeTrudy · 12/06/2015 14:17

^"My personal favorite:

CHEESE BREATH hahaha

FrugalFashionista · 12/06/2015 14:17

There is also a Time Revolution Melting Youth Cream.

FrugalFashionista · 12/06/2015 14:20

Routine order question, how do I layer Time Revolution Melting Youth, Time Revolution Perfect Youth and Time Revolution Immortal Youth Cream?

OP posts:
squoosh · 12/06/2015 14:20

Holy moly, Natural Breath Cheese Repair Cream wins!

And it's a moisturiser, I would never have guessed. I was thinking breath freshener or athlete's foot cream.

Hi all, I hope you don't mind me popping in. I've been reading the thread and wondered if anyone is treating rosacea? I have very sensitive skin, can't tolerate silicones and wondered if there was anything bargainously wondrous I could try? Thanks in advance

FrugalFashionista · 12/06/2015 14:36

I think I need a 2-in-1 product for stinky feet and stinky breath. I am sure there is a Korean alternative Wink

Cold I have mild rosacea (redness/ thread vein type) that is under control right now. I am sensitive to oils but not to silicones. The difficult part is that rosaceans need less, not more, and Koreans love including dozens of ingredients and gelly textures that usually require silicones. Some ideas here but run everything through Cosdna!

Grin Hello everyone. I've been lurking since the beginning of the first thread and ummed and ahhed about what to order - and if I could really put snail on my face. Delurking now I've finally received my first product (Biore 50spf ordered long before, so no idea where that is!) - I was so excited going to the post office this morning! Grin

I just got the Mizon Night Repair Mask from BeautyNetKorea (with 2 skinfood essence samples - honey and lettuce&cucumber - hurray my first samples!) - it was marked as $10 value and gift on package fyi. So far all my orders have been below the £15 mark, but I noticed upthread some people have bought the SU:M37 cleansing stick - does anyone have a link to where they got it cheaper, or did you just risk paying the VAT & charges?

I have been using Liz Earle for the last few months, but I don't really think it does much for my skin (nearly 40, quite freckly, dry and a bit peely, starting to have forehead & eye wrinkles that don't go away when I relax anymore and lots of blocked pores/few blackheads). Anyway, I really like the idea of getting different treatments to treat different problems, instead of expecting 1 product to do it all - that makes sense to me.

Anyway, I'm waiting for...

Mizon Night Repair Ampoule
3 TonyMoly Seaweed sheet masks
TonyMoly Apple peeling mask
TonyMoly Tomato massage mask
Corsyx BHA A-Sol Toner ----Is this BHA-ey enough to get rid of blocked pores? I liked the sound of the toner/clay mask linked to in the first thread?!
Mizon All-in One Snail repair cream
Missha Time Revolution 1st treatment essence samples
Starfish Returning Cream

Yup, I got carried away and have ordered lots of bits as other people have mentioned them, but feel like I need more. I was v close to ordering the DIY serum stuff, but realistically I don't think I'd do a good job and I like buying ready made stuff.

Can anyone spot any big gaps in my orders? I'm using up the LE cleanse and polish, toner, moisturiser and eye cream, but I'd like products to replace them with. Especially I'd like a gentler face wash as my skin is sooo dry after c&p-ing - I can't imagine waiting 30 minutes to moisturise after using toner/serum, my face feels so tight.

Thanks for any advice and happy sampling everyone. :)

leeloo1 · 12/06/2015 14:48

"I like 'DANGER. While you're unaware of your age, Time Will Attack You!

Shock now I know what happened to my skin! Can we sue d'you think?

GertrudeTrudy · 12/06/2015 14:57

Hi leeloo1 and welcome!

As a relative newbie myself I'm not able to give much advice but some other members on here are really knowledgeable.

I just wanted to empathise on getting carried away. So much stuff on order! And it's so easy to just keep ordering because it takes so long to ship, it's almost forgotten about!

I've got the Corsx BHA skin returning solution on the way to help with my pizza face problem skin and after reading up alot I would imagine it would do a great job for clearing blocked pores.

I'd be keen to find out about the SUM 37 cleanser too. I've a penchant for anything rose and rose in general is very calming and soothing with alot of antioxident properties (Triology Rosehip Oil is great).
Oh and an oil cleanser.. that's on the list!

lucysmam · 12/06/2015 17:30

Ahem, well, I'll be testing snail on sunburn tonight Blush We sat in a friends' garden for a couple of hours while the girls played together...smothered the girls in spf 50, got distracted & forgot all about myself so now have slightly burnt shoulders Sad Thankfully I already had some on my face under make up - not sure how effective it'll have been in that sun but will definitely be ordering the spray one next week!

In other news, my Skin Food eyebrow make up was left with a neighbour so I'll try not to make myself look like a clown tomorrow morning before the same friend brings her girls to play Grin

VeganCow · 12/06/2015 17:31

frugal I am interested in bb cushions. You linked to an empty compact, is this one just as good and cheaper?

With bb cushion, is it the product, ie the actual bb cream, or is it the process, that makes it effective? If so, surely filling one of those compacts with your own, say Holika Holika, or Missha bb cream will be good?

lucysmam · 12/06/2015 17:45

leeloo, if your face is tight after cleansing/toning, I'd be tempted to think your cleanser is too harsh and maybe try something milder rather than rush through your routine to get to the moisturiser. Spreading my routine over a couple of hours has been an enjoyable thing rather than a rush iyswim Smile

Also, there is a COSRX blackhead product rather than the A-Sol, here which may be more what you're after.

one review here , another here Smile

FrugalFashionista · 12/06/2015 18:40

Vegan thanks, that empty cushion case looks good! I haven't one yet but I like mixing two shades of BB cream to get a really close match so would love an empty cushion. Maybe I'll order that in July Wink If you go that route, only fill it about 1/3 full with your product of choice, some people even put their favorite Western foundation in a cushion. It can happen that your favorite shade or texture is not available as a BB cream (say, a very dark or pale shade) and that's why people go the DIY route.

The cushion has two things going for it: a sponge applicator (like a Beautyblender but flat) and portability. I find my BB cream goes on sheerer applied with a sponge than with my fingers, and because my skin is in really good shape right now, I don't want Polyfilla (Missha do a Wrinkle Filler BB formula btw). I really like the Real Techniques stippling brush but it is messy to carry around and a total pain to cleanse (I cleanse it weekly but not daily). A downside of the cushion is that it is also difficult to cleanse. You can buy spare sponge puffs but the spongy part in the compact is harder to get to. I have seen tutorials where people cleanse it with micellar so I am sure there is a way but I have also heard that a cushion won't last very long. If you only need it very rarely, stick to a conventional tube of BB cream, you don't want things growing on your cushion Wink

I have just endured a long birthday party in a hot and dusty park. This means that right after I have fed DC, I am going to have a mega pampering session with a sheet mask and all my snail products Wink

Welcome new people! My advice would be to introduce new products gradually as your new parcels arrive. You'll learn all kinds of things quickly, your skin may really like some ingredients and textures and dislike others. So it is smarter to get started with a couple of things and then decide whether you will need something else. Climate and season have an impact too.

I still haven't had a chance to sit and catch up, will try after bedtime but have house guests. I have been thinking all day how I was going to come here and rave about the returning starfish cream - my skin felt lovely this morning and it was brilliant under make up today. I was so chuffed! Then at around 4 pm I felt my chin and had that awful feeling.... There is a bloody cystic spot brewing deep down there. I think it's too quick to blame the product as I have only ever had these spots hormonal ly, but I'm breastfeeding and without periods so I haven't had one of those in a very long time. I think I'll carry on with starfish for now and see what happens. I'm the meantime, what's the best thing for it? cH really rates rubbing it with facial oil to nourish the spot and diminish it. I do hSve some but also it just feels wrong. I also have some clearasil pads, some glycolic pads, a clay mask, or some eve lom Dyna spot. What should I do? In the past I've always been unable to keep touching the area, ended up with a huge white head, squeezed it and ended up with a horrible scan then a red scar. Yuk.

FrugalFashionista · 12/06/2015 18:48

Leeloo my skin is on the dry side and intensive cleansing really dries it out. Many AB Redditors recommend a pH-balanced (pH circa 5.5) cleansers. For my tricky skin, micellar water is just right, I don't do muslins or hot flannels. I wouldn't want too long either but I love that AB is full of liquid moisturizers that you can slap on directly about washing. I only wait after acid pads. It was a revelation for me that I need to protect the lipid barrier of my skin instead just going for aggressive cleansers. Layering hydration starting with watery ones and sealing with occlusives works super well on my skin type.

FrugalFashionista · 12/06/2015 18:59

Ilovetosleep oh I am so sorry! I use a BHA (Effaclar AI, in your case Clearasil) and some snail AIO on my breakouts, avoiding touching them, that usually diminishes them quickly. Lots of AB bloggers rave about hydrocolloid patches, someone here on S&B just had a tread about a similar Western product.

This is btw exactly what happens when I try most Western moisturizers, very soon (after a couple of hours after or the next morning) there is a brewing cyst Sad Personally I cannot use the oil trick, as that would only guarantee more spots, and I don't recommend toothpaste either (SLS is a potential perioral trigger). If you can dry it out, it is a great solution and there will be no scar and PIH. I use clay masks more for sebaceous filaments and whiteheads, has anyone used them for proper spots?

OP posts:
ilovetosleep · 12/06/2015 19:10

What do you mean by dry it out? I mean how? I am hoping this is not just me and Korean products as I want to love them so much!

Am thinking I might just do double cleanse, clearasil and try Ch oil thing (am pretty sure oil doesn't break me out and I can only try!)

Thanks for the tips. If it's bad tomorrow I am going into town so can get some effaclar if need be.

ilovetosleep · 12/06/2015 19:11

As for the starfish cream, I suppose te sensible thi beg to do would be leave it, wait til this monster clears up, then try it again? Or persevere now and see if any others crop up?

lucysmam · 12/06/2015 19:32

ilove, if you can get some hydrocolloid patches they are good! Blister plasters are the same thing I think? They seem to shrink the spot away and take redness away with them...have left a slightly dry patch behind but that hasn't lasted long for me Smile

FrugalFashionista · 12/06/2015 19:36

Sleep hydrocolloid thread here. Haven't tried tham myself though.

VeganCow · 12/06/2015 20:01

Thanks for that info frugal. I was actually going to ask you about the Real Techniques sponge which I have used, or the Beauty Blender - do the cushions apply the product differently to these? I imagine another positive to the cushions is that the bb cream lasts a lot longer as you use less?

ilovetosleep · 12/06/2015 20:05

thanks for that guys. I am heading up to hunt down a blister plaster in the depths of the bathroom cabinet. I have a big night out tommorrow and need to suppress this beast!
