Recommendations for comfortable flat shoes for summer?

Having just come back from a weekend away, I realise that I need decent shoes to wear in hot weather that I can walk in all day comfortably. I'm off on holiday in a few weeks and I know we will be doing lots of walking around sightseeing.

I mostly live in trainers (currently have Skechers welded to my feet), but I think they are too thick and heavy for hot weather, I have a few pairs of flip flops, but they are all quite thin and my feet ache from either gripping the toe posts or the shoes being quite thin. I have never mastered the art of walking in heels, so I really want a pair comfy flats that stay on securely (I sound very middle-aged now!). Not got much spare time between then and now, so online would be easiest.

Any suggestions / recommendations? Thanks

I'd go for pretty but study comfy sandals, maybe these:

Skechers Go Walks are really comfortable and very light.

ooh yes, I hadn't thought of Clarks! Some really nice ones there, thank you!

Menorcan leather sandals.. Stylish & so comfy... Don't go for the cheap non leather ones as they won't give like the proper leather ones do..

I got mine from a company called Palmerias

Have a look at Camper. They are more expensive than Clarks, but worth it IMO, if you find a pair you like.

Look for leather linings, makes all the difference.

I had these sandals last year and they are great for walking.

I have a pair of Taos sandals which are very supportive and comfortable, yet still look nice and fairly smart I have the gold ones and they go with everything.

Birkenstock Milano are great because they have a back strap and stay on your feet while you're walking. I walk loads each week, and these are my staple summer shoe. I have never had a blister or needed to break them in or anything. I got mine from the Birkenstock website so I could choose the narrow fit (which is like a regular fit in most other shoes).
