Capsule packing for 2 day trip

Please help me with a capsule wardrobe for a 2 day trip to london. Will be museum / gallery visiting, quite a bit of walking, bit of shopping / trying on etc... nothing 'smart' planned, but dont want to look "country bumpkin".

I'm useless at packing and deciding I advance what to wear, I end up taking loads more than I need just to give myself 'choice'.

I do two work days in London each week. On day one I wear skinny black jeans, top and wedge heals. For the second day I pack clean undies and a clean top. They take up very little room. Have a good trip.

Watching with interest. I have a 3 day trip to Barcelona planned for next week. I always end up taking more than I need so it would be great to get some ideas.
