Wax! First time for a down there wax. It's booked jut before my holiday and I really want it doing.

I'm not soft and have a decent pain threshold but any advice on how I can prepare? anything I should do or know about before hand.

Grin I'm in Ormskirk, bit of a hike from Bristol. Some of my clients travel far to get to me, but not that far.

OOAOML · 02/06/2015 17:05

Thankfully my bum is private, and wax free. I hope nobody looks down on me for leaving it unwaxed (seriously - is excessive bum hair a common problem? people are really having it waxed?)

ScottishMum2015 · 02/06/2015 18:04

It's just the same as a normal Brazilian. I've been getting Hollywood waxes for about a year now. So much better than a Brazilian. I detest having a hairy fanjo.

Cheesymonster · 02/06/2015 20:38

What's the difference between a Hollywood and a Brazilian?

WickedWax · 02/06/2015 20:57

It depends on the salon you visit Cheesy, but with me a Hollywood is absolutely all hair removed - bum crack, any visible hair on the bum cheeks, inner and outer labia, pubic mound and any hair growing on the back and insides of the upper thighs - absolutely nothing left.

A Brazilian is exactly the same but leaves a landing strip or a triangle on the pubic mound.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 02/06/2015 21:04

Wicked just curious, do you ever do men? I remember the phrase "back, sack n crack" from some awful American TV show or movie and for some reason it has never left me Grin

I had a wax down below once but my God the itching as it grew back! The pain was nothing in comparison, but this was just on the sides. I am lucky enough to be not very hairy anywhere so am spared some of the grooming nightmares that some women go through.

Hearts I do mens general waxing and that's by referral only, so usually husbands/boyfriends of female clients, but I don't do male intimate waxing apart from DH.

Just Piles are really common. They won't cause an issue and are honestly nothing unusual. I put oil on the skin first and the wax I use shrink wraps the hair but doesn't stick to the skin, and if needs be I wax around them, but piles don't cause a problem.

wearejustlikeKevinBacon · 02/06/2015 21:28

Pre DCs I used to have a Brazilian, I had to have a strong cup of tea with a couple of sugars after the first time.

I do remember a freind of mine going somewhere that was not very good and she got quite badly hurt, so my only advice would be to make sure that you are going somewhere highly recommended.

Now I just epliate instead.

Inner labia?????????
faints

Cheesymonster · 02/06/2015 21:46

Thanks wicked

I've only ever had bikini line waxed. I need to find a good salon locally who will do a Hollywood and pluck up the courage!

Flyinggeese21 · 02/06/2015 22:37

Dementedma I fainted too and I get regular Hollywood waxes. I didn't realise inner labia ever had hairs. I thought I was getting more hairy as I get older so maybe this particular treat is to come? Shock
