What boots & shoes with light grey jeans?

I bought some yesterday - they are Next 'sexy slim' but are straight leg on me, verging on a bit bootcut/flared. They fit really well, anyway, and I thought since I don't have any other grey jeans they would make a change.

But every pair of shoes/boots I have just don't look quite right with them - black looks too severe, brown looks a bit meh. I think I've forgotten how to wear anything but skinny jeans, which isn't helping..

Any suggestions pls?

My favourite shoes with mine are a kind of dull silver/pewter metallic brogues. Think tan might work too.

I have grey straight/skinny jeans I roll them up a bit and wear them with nb trainers or ash ankle boots.

I love my light grey jeans. I wear them (rolled) with: tan brogues and no socks, Birkenstock Arizona or Sydney. I have two pairs of NB 574s which are great- springy, comfy and funky. One in grey/white and one in turquoise and orange which the understated grey really sets off. I think they look good with grey or sludgy green ankle boots in suede in winter. Enjoy! My blue Levi's are gathering dust right now!
