Hair dye remover?

I had a mishap with a home dye kit about a month ago. Apart from my roots coming through, it's not really faded much. I'm getting married in 2 months and I want to fix my hair and then get it re-dyed properly, at the hairdressers :o just before my wedding.

Is there such a thing as a home hair dye removal kit or do I have to go to the hairdressers?

There is a colour remover that you can buy at chemists, which strips the colour. I haven't ever used it though. However in your shoes, I would go to the hairdressers and get advice. They would also be able to strip the colour out before putting the new colour in, and I expect the results would be better.

I've had a bad experience with colour stripping. Go to the hair salon for advice: they might just be able to colour over it.

I've used colourb4 to get hair dye out. I dyed my hair black for years and it stripped it out.

I think it depends on the type of dye you used. If it was bleach or highlights I'm not sure it works.

Oh hell. Half of it is blonde, and half of it is a really dodgy ginger colour that was supposed to be blonde. I have nothing against ginger hair, but mine is the awful colour you get when blonde has gone horribly wrong :(

Hairdressers it is then.
