control pants pain

hi has anyone ever experienced severe stomach cramps/pain after a day of wearing spans? I searched but there didn't seem to be an existing thread, I thought it might be quite common but perhaps its just me?

I'm aware its probably just gas but my stomach feels like my organs have been grinded together! Don't think I'll be wearing them again any time soon, but what to do instead?

I've got a sticky out tummy, its not exactly flabby, it just pertrudes really far, rather than dip in. It looks like I'm pregnant Blush I'm 8 stone 10 and 5" 6 so not overweight, just horrible belly issues! Its a pita because it limits what I feel comfortable wearing. Always in long tops which cover my bum and thighs.

Oh yes, I do. I think it's wind Grin.
I've now moved on to a slip thing from M&S that you wear your own bra with. TBH it's not quite as controlling as big pants but definitely more comfortable.

Pilates is what you need. I had the same sort of tummy and it was causing lower back problems.

Oh god yes, it's trapped wind,
I was trapped in my car with the spanx wind once, it was absolutely awful, I'd have hacked them off with scissors if I could.

haha thanks for the replies Grin I thought so, feel much better now after a good 10 hours with them off. I might try the slip thing, I don't think I can ever wear those pants again!

Thanks for the suggestion of Pilate's, I used to do it but got out of the habit of it, I think I will again though since you've reminded me. its a pain having a stick out belly because it seems to ruin any outfit I put on!
