Looking for a new pair of ankle wellies

I have lived in my bright yellow Joules wellibobs and now they are past it and I need a new pair. Ankle wellies have been a revelation for me but I need a more neutral, wearable colour. The plain ones are sold out online at Joules and I have seen some lovely black Hunter ones but they are £80. Does anyone know of any other shops that do them or knows a discount for Hunter?

I was going to suggest Joules, I have the Millie wellies and love them. Apart from Hunter wellies, I don't know of anymore. Sorry.

Shame, they are so comfy but sold out. I love the Hunters but they are too expensive.

I too was going to suggest Joules. The only other place I have seen shorter wellies but more like calf height than wellibobs was Seasalt.

schuh had some Melissa ones last year

Crocs do them in a variety of colours, lightweight, comfy and about £30 on Amazon.

I got a good pair of ankle wellies from Fat Face.

Have also just seen plain wellybobs on Amazon, French navy....

I was going to say don't buy Joules in a million years!

I've had two pairs and both have leaked like crazy. And I'm talking soaking wet feet when just walking through wet grass or mud. Not wading through streams. Joules were vile to me, told me the water must be coming in at the top of the boot (it wasn't ).

They insisted I posted the boots back to them for testing and then lost the boots. They refused to refund for months and in the end I Tweeted until they sent me some boots. I didn't want more boots, I wanted a refund but it's the best I was going to get.

These boots are just as bad.

Thanks for all these replies. I quickly got a hole in my Joules boots too but have struggled to find this style and it's such an easy shoe to throw on. I will look in these stores thanks. I know and love Seasalt but theirs are too tall.

I've just been in White Stuff and saw these:

Don't know if any good, but thought of this thread :-)

Ilse Jacobsen do lovely ankle wellies.

MyGastIsFlabbered · 03/06/2015 14:27

Watching with interest, although the term 'wellibobs' gives me irrational rage.

Sycamoretrees · 03/06/2015 14:34

I can highly recommend these: www.aigle.com/en_uk/landfast-5399.html warm and comfortable and wearing well.

Agile are supposed to be very good. Thanks for the reply. I wouldn't expect holes in them!
