Hi this is my first ever post
i m 39 i had to go to a different hair dresser at Christmas who did a full head colour on my blonde hair. Usually i would have a full gead of foils. I went twice and quite liked it unfortunately my teenager daughter didnt like her cut and as its something we do together i got us back in with our orginal salon, i had a full head foils it looks awful . I have a massive grey patch at the side if my head and dark roots. I went back abd they said the highlights have taken bur because i had a full head colour at the other place it will look darker she said the grey was a silver highlight! My haur is naturally very dry and curly so not sure whether just to tie it up. I am already booked to go back in july my husband thinks im mad and have been fobbed off. Any suggestions or thought?

I'm not quite sure what you're asking OP, but sympathies as it's rotten when you don't like your hair.

Don't go back. Although there is an argument that the hairdresser who botched it should fix it this happened to me a month ago and I ran for the hills and got somewhere else to fix it. First hairdresser didn't charge for the botched colour though so I wasn't out of pocket. I would go back to the hairdresser you were happy with and stay with them. Your daughter will just have to understand that as much as she didn't like her cut there, you don't like your colour from the other place so unless you both find somewhere else to go, you will have to go separately. It's horrid when a hairdresser fucks up your hair, I was so miserable and self conscious until I got it fixed.

Thanks for the reply i have tracked down the hairdresser we had for years but left the salon and i didnt know where she went. We go on holiday in 8 weeks so not sure whether to try and last out or rectify it now its very dry and a funny texture aswell as the awful colour. I have little confidence as it is but now i look old and tired !!

I would get some deep treatment stuff on it (I use the L'Oreal Elvive one to keep my hair in good condition post botch job) to help the condition but if you can afford to then get it fixed as it will just make you miserable otherwise.
