Peeling nails

Has anyone had this? My nails are peeling not splitting, they are peeling a layer at a time. I used to have lovely long nails but now I can't grow them at all!
Does anyone have any hints or tips? I tried to take skin and nail vitamins but they caused strange white spots to appear all over my body, so those wouldn't work for me.

My nails do this. The only thing that helps is moisturising them. Nail oil and hand cream every night. If I miss a night they peel.

I'll second that, Nailtiques is amazing!

Their cuticle gel and nail oil is also excellent (and you can get a kit with all three items in small sizes) if you wanted to go the whole hog! Paint on the formula 2 as per instructions and if you get the kit apply the oil or gel at night & gel anytime. The formula 2 varnish is the real key to stop the peeling though.

Vaseline, rubbed in as often as you remember throughout the day. In a week your nails will be lovely.

Does the nailtiques work better than opi nail envy? I have nail that peel terribly and was told nail envy was the best and it didn't help at all

I used Rimmel nail rescue when my nails peeled and it worked s treat. I now wear gel polish but if I have a rare week or two with out the gel I still use nail rescue
