Just wondering if it is ever possible!

I have reduced it by cutting out sugar, toxins and also lots of body brushing but I had to keep it up or it creeps back..

Greengardenpixie · 29/05/2015 20:22

Seems like a lot of hard work....I have been doing the body brushing. I see a bit of an improvement but i find it depends upon the light. In my bathroom, its just as awful. In my hall its all gone Grin

I see a massive difference if I walk for an hour or two everyday, drink 3-4 pints of water a day and lay off the booze, fizzy drinks, lattes etc.
I only body brush when I remember.

Yes, Gwyneth Paltrow. Friend was pointing out that she had cellulite in The Talented Mr Ripley, but does not now.

I do not know her secret.

Greengardenpixie · 29/05/2015 20:54

Well she probably had it all sucked out!
I mean like real people on here???

Running. I did couch25K last year. Lost 18 lbs and got rid of cellulite. Sadly, didn't keep it off.

This article explains cellulite very well:-

These ppl absolutely know their stuff. They've changed my life. Or rather they've given me the knowledge and know how to change it myself.

Chchchchanging · 30/05/2015 01:11

Yep last year I did loads of walking cut out sugar and already only had decaf and limited alcohol
It's back now I'm pregnant and eating jelly babies and mc donalds a lot... Shock

Fennel oil with almond oil base, and vigorous body brushing. Quite smelly but totally banished all cellulite within a few weeks. As soon as I stopped it came straight back though....

Singleandproud · 30/05/2015 02:18

Ground flax seed gets rid of it, or at least the appearance of it as it boosts elastane or something which creates a smoothing effect. 2 tablespoons over your cereal/in a smoothie for a week or two and you'll start noticing vast improvements but you have to keep doing it for the effect to last.

DarkNavyBlue · 30/05/2015 11:29

If it depends on the light, it's not gone! Grin

WhatsGoingOnEh · 30/05/2015 11:31

I had awful cellulite. Then I went on a strict diet, went to the gym for an hour a day (mainly rowing machine) and cut down on booze. It vanished!

I've put on some weight and it's creeping back.

I think exercise is the key, exercise and being skinny!

specialsubject · 30/05/2015 11:55

wow, high-babble zone.

green tea, eh? The 'fat burning' effect of that is due to the caffeine in it (and all teas) which raises metabolism temporarily by an almost imperceptible amount.

flaxseed; some interesting chemicals in it which may do somethings for some people, but no evidence for collagen boosting above placebo.

cellulite is beauty-speak for 'normal skin texture for some people'. If you are spending hours rubbing on potions and using brushes (ouch) you are eating less, which will help. But skeletal models can also have it.

choose the right parents, eat properly, move around, don't smoke.

BetsyBell · 30/05/2015 11:56

Exercise and losing weight is the only way I know of.

chippednailvarnish · 30/05/2015 12:03

I'm sure its genetic about how you carry fat. I've never had it, but no matter how thin I am, I always have a belly...

123Jump · 30/05/2015 12:04

Very skinny people can have cellulite too.
Here.

Body brushing massively reduces the look of cellulite for me.

goose1964 · 08/05/2018 09:08

I'm type 2 diabetic and as such have a lower carb diet than the norm. I used to have some cellulite but I just checked and I can hardly see it now
