Are they any good? Lots of rave reviews on the holland & barratt website, and 50% discount when you buy 5 products from that company... Tempting. But will I be wasting my money?

If relevant, I have combination skin which is very sensitive and often quite red. Open pores, a tendency towards hormonal spots... Yuck.

I have one of the masks to try tonight. If you are interested in snail products have a look at the Korean thread on here. I love the mizon snail gel, purchased on eBay for £3.70ish delivered :)

Thanks, will try to find the thread with my terrible thread finding skills! Confused let me know what you think of the snail gel you used.

I just hate the words snail + gel together. Makes me feel sick!

Grin to feeling sick, the mizon gel is lovely, very light fragrance and not sticky icky.

Tried the mask last night. It has a very strong fragrance and I was a bit worried about this so had a look at the ingredients and saw coconut oil listed. At this point I was debating not trying it as I have learnt the hard way that my skin doesn't do oils.

However, I slapped it on as it was open as I hate waste Blush its quite thick and white and sort of drys on your skin clear. After about 15 mins I washed it off with water. Once my skin was dry it felt super soft and a bit plumper but I had a small dry patch flare up on my chin.

Not wanting to risk a breakout, I put some of the mizon gel on before bed. Im happy to report no new spots this morning and my skin feels lovely.

I picked up two masks as it was buy 2 and get 25% off. For me there is definitely a couple of applications worth in each sachet so I will be using it again tonight Smile

Does sound disgusting but apparently snails are amazing at recovering from injuries quickly so they have some kind of magic in their slime.

The amount in the creams is minute (just like the amount of any latest hyped ingredient is minute), so there really is no need to recoil.

If you want the 'snail farmer' effect, then yes, you'd actually have let the critters slime over your face for hours every day (you might find that constant reapplication of anything for several hours a day had a similar effect).

Yeuch.

Snake oil.

ovumahead · 01/06/2015 09:13

Ah there's worse things in other cosmetics! It's just the sound of "snail gel".... So unappealing!
