I got the Philips Lumea Precision Plus SC2006/11 IPL.

If anyone who has one could be so kind...

You shave before use right? So if you shave then zap can you shave again in the 2weeks before the 2nd round?

Does it cause any redness? (thinking of the face)

Can you use it on all your pubic hair, undercarriage etc...?

And how exactly does the hair grow back, when I shave my bikini line I have TERRIBLE itchy red bumps and stubble just 24 hours later, what can I expect after using this? Will it be the same for a while?

Thanks so much!

Yes you shave first and then zap. You can shave again if you need to, before the next round of shaving/zapping but the zap needs to be on freshly shaven hair to work effectively. I found the first few goes it was difficult to work out where I had zapped so got some patchy regrowth, that has happened much less as my use has built up and I can see the regrowth clearly so know exactly which bits need shaved.

I didn't get any redness on the face but it may be worth just keeping the 'dosage' (sorry can't think of the word) low to see how you go on. I use 5 for legs, 3 for underarms and 2 for face.

As far as I know you can use it anywhere but it can given a bit of a sting on sensitive skin so again, start low on those bits.

The hair grows back as normal but slowly - it could take me 3-4 weeks to get regrowth that previously would have taken a few days. The itching and bumps may be helped by exfoliation to prevent ingrown hairs.

i dont have the lumea but have remington one and i dont wait 2 weeks to shave and redo
i usually to it when i need (read that as can be arsed) to shave when i was arsed to do it i was doing it about twice a week,...as soon as i felt my legs being a bit prickly mainly on a sunday then a thursday

So it never actually gets rid of the hair? You need to continue to shave then zap?

I don't like having a bush but on the whole I just leave it because the one night of smoothness isn't work the weeks of itching and ingrowns

I think it is a permanent solution if you use it properly Grin I tend to use it once in a while and live with having to do it again in a month or so but I think if you use it regularly for a period then it's more effective because the hair dies off at the roots.
