Real Techniques from Boots. Huge range, good quality and won't break the bank.

Eco Tools from Boots. Good price and 4 years later they've not shed one hair - check Amazon for them as well though, cracking discounts on some sets. If I were in the market for new brushes though I may go for Real Techniques too.

Yes I like real techniques.

I only really use four brushes. If it's helpful, they are:

one for foundation - real techniques expert face brush

One for lips - real techniques retractable lip brush

One for cream eyeshadows - MAC 242 shader brush

One for powder shadows - MAC 217 blending brush

Actually, I use more than four hahaha!

Also MAC 228 mini shader brush for doing under eye and small bits

And Eco tools brushes for blusher and all over powder
