Help my poor face!!!!

My skin is a complete mess and making me feel miserable. Can anyone help?

I have cholasma which doesn't usually bother me too much but is quite prominent at the moment. I wouldn't mind if this was the only problem but it isn't.

I have recently had horrid breakouts of really nasty deep seated spots on my chin and cheeks near my nose. I've used La Roche Posay anti-blemish ph treatment plus their face wash and toner but I think I have over exfoliated. I now have marks from the acne plus a general reddish hue to the affected areas with tightness and a really weather beaten appearance over my chin and the bits of my cheeks near my nose but still with visible pores. I also have craggy ness around my under eye area and some tiny tiny little white dots that seem more like irritation than a proper spot iykwim. The texture of the rest of my face is ok.

Can anyone recommend A a quick fix that might help settle things quickly and B a longer term plan. I haven't got loads of cash to splash but open to suggestions. I can easily access a large Boots tomorrow if that helps.

Thanks!

Stop using the LRP and switch to cetaphil cleanser instead. When skin is irritated quite often the best thing to do is cleanse and apply a plain moisturiser then let it heal on its own.

Within a week if using LRP effaclar I got a load of big, sore spots on my face and neck. They went away 2 days after I stopped using it. I now use super drug brightening hot cloth cleanser and boots no 7 protect and perfect mixed with a couple of drops of super drug blended tea tree oil. My skin is so much better now, hardly a spot, glowing and soft.

I've been using Garnier Spot Purifying toner (with salicylic acid) after cleansing and it's really made a difference to blackheads and red marks.

Thanks for the advice.

I have whacked on some hydromol tonight which probably isn't the best thing but it does feel more soothed. Will try and get Cetaphil from Boots tomorrow.

If you have tightness and redness try Avene Skin Recovery cream, really helped me when I overdid it with effaclar duo before

Google, "oil cleansing method." It'll sort your skin out.

It definitely looks calmer today. Washed off hydromol in the shower this morning just with warm water then gently rubbed with a towel to get rid of the flakiness bits and then moisturised. Going to try to get some Cetaphil this afternoon.

Longing for nice skin!

I've just started using the Body Shop camomile cleansing butter which is lovely. Very gentle, smells lovely and leaves skin smooth and not dry. They are always having offers too

I'm using it with their muslin too. They have 30% off purchase of 2 products too at the moment. You can download the voucher to your phone and just show them it to get the discount.

I started taking vitamin D3 after reading a thread in here and it's sorted my skin right out. Might be worth a go as part of your long-term plan.
