Saltwater Sandals

Do Saltwater sandals stretch? Mine arrived today but they feel quite narrow, even though I don't have wide feet. I really like them and want to keep them but I'm hoping they stretch!

Seemingly they stretch with water. Did you size up? I am a 6 but took a 7. Its recommended in their sizing charts.

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 28/05/2015 14:31

Thanks. I'm usually a 6.5 so ordered a 7 but I'm going to try an 8 - I wish I'd ordered both now as I've got to pay for P & P again!

I needed to size up as they felt narrow. Bigger size are a perfect fit.

They take ages to refund you. I ordered two pairs in two colours. I returned a pair pretty quickly and they took about 21 days to refund me. It was annoying.

Greengardenpixie · 28/05/2015 18:08

Oh i suppose it depends where you ordered them. I used sunsan. If you ordered from Toast they are quick with refunds.

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 28/05/2015 18:53

Bugger, I used Sunsan as well! Oh well, lesson learned! I hope the 8s fit as I really want to keep them as I'm desperate for a pair of comfy sandals.

Have you tried stretching them? If you put your hands in the fronts and pull them apart there is some give, I have wide feet but they're fine after stretching them.

lililon · 28/05/2015 19:10

I'm a size 7 so bought a 7 & 8 - the 8 are perfect. By far my favourite pair of summer sandals. I bought mine from Office - they have free returns and we're pretty quick with the refund.

FriskyMare · 28/05/2015 19:49

What colours do you all have? I'm hankering after either the turquoise or yellow patent.

lightgreenglass · 28/05/2015 19:53

Wear them in the sea then they mould to your feet perfectly. Mine stretched after a while - normally size 6. Got some new ones this year which need a trip to the seaside, last year's ones are very comfortable.

Mrsfrumble · 28/05/2015 19:55

Yep, just get them wet and they'll stretch. I went paddling in a fountain with my children when I first got mine!

I have them in red and tan. Am contemplating yellow too.

SinclairSpectrum · 28/05/2015 20:05

So do I buy a size up or go to the beach in the correct size?? I have wide feet but live at the coast....
Am guessing no one will refund me if shoes are covered in seaweed.

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 28/05/2015 20:15

Thank you, the stretching worked! I'm now going to have to return the 8s when they arrive.

I've got the nautical flash ones (navy & silver) and I now want a bright coloured pair as well...

I have tan.... I think I will buy navy too.

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 04/06/2015 09:51

Just to update, I tried the 8s when they arrived and they were huge! The 7s have stretched nicely and are now really comfortable so I'm now deciding which other colour to get! I'm leaning towards bright pink at the moment but I also like the turquoise...
