Bravissimo Milano Tankini

Does anyone have one of these? If so then how do you find it compares size wise to their bras? The straps are very far apart on it which I think is the intended style but I prefer straps to be closer together. Any suggestions for a style and size to try? I'm currently wearing 38JJ Royce Sadie nursing bras and the tankini is a 38GG. It arrived yesterday and I'm not sure if I need to go down to a 38G as there is a bit of spare material in the bra section of it.

The tankini is more like one of their balconette bra styles in terms of strap positioning. If the cup in the tankini is too big in a 38GG then there's something strange going on with the nursing bra- that's a style that is more generous in the cup so I'd expect you to need a JJ or K in the tankini. It sounds like you need another fitting.

If you want more centralised straps then perhaps try a halter neck style or one of the Free by Gottex ones that they stock instead.

I am a long way away from Bravissimo so no chance of a fitting unfortunately.

The 38JJ nursing bra is right, if I go smaller then I am bursting out of it and with the tankini, this is the 3rd one I've had as the cups were far too big. I have done all the sizing via the Bravissimo live chat and started with a 38JJ the same as the nursing bra. It seems strange to me that there is such a size difference but I don't know how much of that is to do with wired vs non wired and also the difference between the 2 brands.

I wasn't clear in my OP and can see that now. I can cope with the straps being far apart in the tankini as that won't be on for long, I meant I want closer together straps in a bra and wanted suggestions for bras to try that would fit me based on the tankini size. I'm an underwired bra virgin so starting with a cossie to get used to it but would like to change to underwired nursing bras if possible.

Nursing bras are few and far between in the size you're wearing hence the limited selection at Bravisssimo. Put wires into the equation (Bravisssimo don't sell them) and it gets worse. This Elomi one is pretty good but the fit is massively different to the Royce ones. I'd expect you to need a smaller band and much smaller cup, as most bras from the group (which includes Freya/Fantasie etc) are known to be cut more generously.
