good shampoo for greasy hair?

I'm having to wash my hair every other day at the moment as it is getting really greasy. I'm deliberately not washing it every day even though sometimes it looks like it needs it.
Does anyone have any recommendations for good haircare for oily hair?

I always find Tigi shampoo and conditioner good for not making my hair go lank. Switching to washing every 3rd day and using a good dry shampoo has also done wonders for the condition of my hair and only putting conditioner on the roots once a week stops the greasy feeling on the second day.

I like the Bodyshop's Rainforest balance shampoo. Aveda Rosemary Mint also good although too expensive right now. Sad Also make sure you are not putting conditioner anywhere other than the ends.

Alberto bahlsam green apple

I found the Alberto Balsam apple one did make my hair greasy, I can actually go 6-8days without my hair looking greasy at all, I use tigi elasticate, but when I switched to Alberto Balsam as it's more purse friendly my hair needed washing after 2/3 days.

Paul Mitchell clarifying shampoo, imho, is the best for clearing oils and product build up.

Aussie mega has been a lifesaver for me but it is too drying to use everyday

TenThousandSpoons · 26/05/2015 23:05

I second Aussie Mega shampoo

I'll give the Aussie a whirl and try the dry shampoo trick too!

Loreal professional Volumetry shampoo and conditioner, it has a little salycilic acid in it and gives my greasy mop volume and keeps it non greasy for a good couple of days. You can get big salon sizes online Smile

Aveda shampure is a good balancing shampoo. I only wash my long hair now twice a week because of this shampoo. I buy it from the salon in litre bottles which works out cheaper - one bottle lasts months and months.

I like Liz Earle - I used to feel the need to wash my hair every day due to greasy roots, but can easily do 2-3 days with this.

I have to wash my hair every day, have tried the leaving it days idea, but my hair is so fine that it just doesn't work. The only two shampoos I have found that make it bearable are Aussie Mega and Body Shop Rainforest.
