Bleached hair looking yellow - advice required

Dd has been bleaching her hair using L'Oreal. She's used a couple of kits over the last few months. The last one she used was called Champagne Blind. Now her naturally mid blond hair looks a little yellow, not a nice colour at all Sad

I can't afford to take her to a salon so I need some colour advice. What can she put on her hair to tone the colour down and take it back to a more natural colour. She's worried that any remedy will make her hair too dark.

Touch of silver shampoo, but use as a toner

Wash hair, towel dry, apply and work through.
Cling film head to catch drips.
Leave for as long as you dare- at least half an hour first time.

If not enough, try agaain

What do you mean by "leave as long as you dare" . That's worrying me Shock

Any purple toned shampoo will counteract the yellowness. Touch of Silver is one brand I can think of. Superdrug also do a cool ash blonde wash in wash out shampoo for less than a pound I think. It really works. Purple is opposite to orange/yellow on the colour wheel so it will tone those hues. Ash is the opposite to warm, so a temporary ash blonde will also work. Good luck!

Touch of Silver do a weekly treatment - you just leave it on a couple of minutes otherwise you do get temporarily lilac hair Grin

Would recommend the weekly treatment from Touch of Silver, really works to tone down yellow ness on my bleached pixie.

she needs an ASH or COOL toned hair dye over the top asap, many brands sell them just ensure it is cool toned, otherwise the silver shampoo will turn it lilc and yellow mix....nice.
Also when she does her roots with blonde dye again, tell her to apply the dye to just her roots for half and hour and then the rest of her hair for 5 mins. Was bleach blond for many many years. Also buy "touch of silver" shampoo as stated above :)
