'Rock Chick' look

Excuse my ignorance and use of the word 'chick' as I have no idea about fashion

Now I've lost 4 stone I don't have to wear clothes just to cover me up. I want to show my personality but it's been so long, I don't know where to start.

In my head I have an image of ripped jeans, funky t-shirt and biker boots. Where would I go to buy this?
How could I emulate the look at work in a smart/casual environment?

I feel a little but stupid for asking but I don't know where to start.

For work we can't wear jeans so I wear a black tube skirt or black high/low skirt with a t-shirt and biker boots, denim jacket, biker jacket or trench coat if rainy. I like summer dresses with a denim jacket.
Also wear thick leggings with long layered vests/tops + slouchy jumpers for colder weather.
I wear mainly black grey blue white. Not a fan of pastels.
I like to think I'm a bit rock chick/classic. The classic bit is important so I don't end up looking like Gemma Tellar.
