I'm so Sad
I used to use and love dermalogica treatment foundation then they discontinued it, then I fell in love with their replacement product for it,cover tint but this has also now been discontinued AngrySad
I've been to every make up counter looking for something the same texture etc but have found nothing that compares!! The dermalogica one in my opinion wasn't like a traditional foundation it used to go on thick and creamy but then almost turn into a stain that looked natural (not shiny) and had nice light coverage that could also be built if and where needed, it's also the ONLY one that didn't settle into my pores, lines, dehydration lines etc, doesn't smell funny, irritate my skin or contain fragrance!
As soon as I rub a foundation/tinted moist/ bb cream etc into back of my hand to test I know straight away if it's got any potential but am yet to find anything that looks and feels the same.

Sounds very like the YSL ink foundation.

Lndnmummy · 26/05/2015 21:57

How about vichy foundation ir LRP bb creme?

Indecisivejo · 27/05/2015 06:27

Both of those suggestions contain fragrance I believe?
Hate it so much when something u love gets discontinued! Angry

I use and really rate the YSL Fusion Ink foundation , which you can layer for greater coverage . I do not detect a fragrance smell from it. I have very sensitive skin btw, and this suits my skin well - lovely natural finish and no settling into pores or wrinkles . Get a sample - they give it out at counters in dinky little pots that are great for carrying around - the full bottle is quite big and too much to keep in a make up bag I think.
Do try it!

KenDoddsDadsDog · 27/05/2015 08:01

The fusion ink doesn't appear to smell of anything . You may also like Kiehls CC cream.
I use the Dermalogica Ultra Sensitive tint on holiday - is that discontinued as well ? Sad

Indecisivejo · 27/05/2015 11:56

Ooh interesting ok thank you I will take a look at the ysl one.
The dermalogica ultra sensitive tint is still available don't worry, I was considering trying that myself is it really good? I react to all the bloody suncreams I've tried on my face!

Have you considered mineral foundation? I have been using bare minerals and lily lolo mineral powders which are very similar. I'm leaning more to bare minerals at the moment tho. Just yesterday I got some samples of their rescue liquid stuff so I'm trying it today. Really evened out my skin tone and looks natural, even with a layer of the mineral powder over the top.

Indecisivejo · 27/05/2015 12:13

Hi, I hate mineral make up it doesn't work for my skin at all I actually find it really irritating. I have also tried the bare minerals rescue tint thing and really disliked it I returned it the next day.

I use the bare minerals cream foundation complexion rescue is fantastic

ClareAbshire · 27/05/2015 13:06

Sensitive skin here and swear by the Clinique blemish solutions foundation. Light and good coverage and doesn't settle into pores etc.

Indecisivejo · 27/05/2015 15:38

Right so I went to boots and tested the ysl one and really didn't like it, it was very drying and had a strong perfume smell to my nose. I just can't find anything that is the same texture and finish as the dermalogica Sad

Thanks to Mumsnet I've just discovered Estee Lauder Double wear - and am converted.
goes on wonderfully (granted have to apply with a brush can't seem to get it with just my fingers) but the smoothest kind of airbrush finish I've found in a long time.

SorrelForbes · 27/05/2015 17:02

Have you tried any of the No.7 ones? I love the texture of their Lift and Luminate.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 27/05/2015 18:00

Yes I love the Dermalogica tint - it's quite like how you described the foundation. Gives a nice glow to the skin so perfect for summer.

Indecisivejo · 27/05/2015 21:36

Double wear and no7 are all very much like traditional foundations nothing like this dermalogica one which is why it's so hard for me to find a replacement! Am at a complete loss.

OP posts:
SorrelForbes · 28/05/2015 12:44

Hmmm, the Lift and Luminate is quite different in texture to the others in the No.7 range. It definitely doesn't settle into lines etc. like more fluid ones.

Indecisivejo · 28/05/2015 13:06

Funny enough the lift and luminate was one of many I tried when I went to boots yesterday and it felt nothing like my dermalogica, I will test again though just to make sure. The annoying thing is whenever I have the dermalogica one on people tell me I look nice! So gutted.

You can still buy the dermalogica treatment foundation on Ebay.

XiCi · 28/05/2015 13:17

and the cover tint

jasmine1979 · 28/05/2015 13:23

Have you tried the Clarins comfort balm foundation? It really is lovely and worth trying a sample of. It does contain a small amount of fragrance however as it smells just a little bit of cucumbers.
Sadly I can't use any Ysl products on my face. They all smell so strong to me. Especially their mascara. Why on earth they scent their mascaras so strongly is just beyond me!

Have you tried a variety of mineral foundations? I can't use bare minerals as it irritates my skin, but have used Lily Lolo for years now and love it.

Indecisivejo · 28/05/2015 16:55

Yeah I know U can get a lot of discontinued things on eBay but I get put off because if it's been discontinued by the manufacturers then where are they getting their stock!? Also there must be a reason it's discontinued so it just puts me off iyswim.
I will take a look at the Clarins one but usually no matter how little fragrance it contains it's still a problem for my skin Sad
Yes I have tried other brands of mineral make up and my skin just really dislikes it.

Have you tried Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, sounds similar to what you want. Chanel do a lovely tinted moisturiser as well

SqueezyCheeseWeasel · 28/05/2015 17:15

I really like YSL youth liberator serum foundation. I don't know how it compares to your dermalogica one but it doesn't settle into my fine, dehydration lines and gives invisible coverage (looks like skin, just really nice skin).

boobyooby · 28/05/2015 17:17

watching with interest as my YSL Teinte has started to look horrible on my face, keeps showing my pores Hmm Hoping to go shopping tomorrow and buy something
