Should I do something with my eyebrows? (Picture)

Like dye/shape them?

I notice my face looks like a bun in pictures iyswim Grin big and round with raisins for eyes....

Never done anything to them, but they seem so nothingy.

Then again, big black brows would look silly!

Am 44 btw (if that matters) and not someone urban or glam.

Help

Do you leave them like that all the time?

I would be using an eyebrow pencil on them to fill them in a bit. What colour is your hair?

Shadow1986 · 22/05/2015 21:43

Get them tinted brown they will look really good, it's only about £15-20 for eyebrow tint and shape. Give it a go, the beautician will know what she's doing

BabyGanoush · 22/05/2015 21:43

I have brown hair, sort of mid brown with a few blond streaks (that is my natural colour.

I sometimes put eyebrow powder (benefit) on to fillthem in, which looks better but is a faff. Especially on days that I swim!

I have a tan now which makes my brows disappear!

BabyGanoush · 22/05/2015 21:44

Would it need shaping too?

OP posts:
Skinheadmermaid · 22/05/2015 21:51

They definitely don't need any shaping, they have a lovely natural shape. I can't believe you've never tweezed them? Mine look like a beard on my forehead!

BabyGanoush · 22/05/2015 22:03

I tweeze the monobrow bit Grin that much sense I have.

Just noticed I look washed out in pics, and started thinking it's my brows (maybe they have gone lighter over the years)

I never go to beauticians, it seems such a "vain" thing to do (don't you just love a good protestant upbringing! Grandfather was a vicar!!!)

Also fear I'd end up looking like a deluded Cara Delavigne imitator

Forget your eyebrows, you have liver warning signs in your iris

BabyGanoush · 22/05/2015 22:17

well spotted, I have high bilirubin, and evidence of liver infection in the past (too much 3rd world living), as well as (mild) permanent jaundice.

Freaks me out you can see that in my eyes though!!!! Are you a doctor?

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 22/05/2015 22:43

Back to the eyebrows, the only slight improvement I would suggest is you go slightly thinner above your pupil to create more of an arch, which makes your more difference to your appearance than you would think. If in doubt, let a beautician do it, then you can follow the line when you tweeze in the future. Don't let them thin them any where else though, as they are a good shape generally!

BabyGanoush · 22/05/2015 23:15

thanks, I need to get on the case.

Fill them in.

JenniMoo · 23/05/2015 07:58

You can easily tint at home with a kit from Amazon. Start light and see how you go. Way cheaper than a salon.

Yes, that poster threw a bit of a hand grenade on this thread and never came back!

I think she refered to the brown bits in my iris.

The thing that freaks me out a bit is that I have indeed had hepatitis, years ago, and that (some) people can see that in my eyes!!!!

In summer I hide my yellow-ish skin with a tan Grin

Gilbert's is harmless, isn't it?

If I were you, I'd tint the brows. Not black, but brown, and not darker than your hair colour.
Then, if there are areas in the brows without hairs, fill those gaps in with a powder or pencil in a very natural and subtle way. No filling the brow in like it's a massive slug!

I wouldn't thin out the brows (I find it quite aging and as we age, the brows get thinner, so there's no need for adding to that) - only get the stray hairs if there are any.

Carpaccio, I think my bries/eye lashes have become lighter over the years.

I'll have them tinted next week.

Exciting. I hope/think it'll look better.

I didn't mean to throw a hand grenade, I just didn't want to derail your thread if you already knew about the problem. It is the brown bits in your iris, yes. I have them too.

Good eyebrows Grin

I have yellow bits in my eye that weren't there before. Does that mean something is wrong with my liver? I'm starting to freak out now.

iWantToBeAlone · 25/05/2015 15:16

Sorry to thread hijack. I do feel like I'm hyperventilating a bit though
