What to wear for yoga - tummy coverage needed

Have recently started doing yoga in a mixed class, and feeling that leggings and baggy t shirt don't provide enough coverage. Am very concious of fat tummy, don't normally wear fitted tops or loose bottoms, don't have jogging bottoms as never needed them. What do I wear? And where do I get it from?

If you're very self conscious the best option is leggings with a tight fitting long vest then a baggies tshirt on top.

I suppose part of what I'm asking is whether leggings are decent enough to wear in a mixed class when one is on all fours with bum in the air!

I got some really comfy navy blue hareems from TU to do yoga in, just bought them a few weeks ago. I wear them with a vest or long sleeved t shirt.

As you'll be going upside down you really need top that clings to your hips. Tk max usually has fairly decent stuff for yoga plus h and m have new range

Oh god yes to leggings - 99% of every class I've been to wear leggings!! Just don't expose your bare tummy in a baggy top :)

I agree about the long vest- I like gap ribbed ones as they stay put.

As for bum in the air, it's just part of it- all you can do is make sure your leggings aren't too thin.

Wherever you buy it from, you need a long, non-spaghetti-strap vest (very long, H&M do some great ones with racer back) with a long-line long-sleeved tshirt over the top for the start/end of class. Both should be form-fitting but not tight (tight is just uncomfy and baggy tops always get in the way during yoga no matter how cool they might look at the beginning of the class) and either leggings or as pp said, harem pants. Just anything with an elasticated ankle - I don't understand most so-called 'yoga pants' that have loose ankles that just flop about and get in the way during inversions.

All of the above goes out the window if it's Bikram in which case you need pants and a bra top! Grin

Wear shorts over your leggings or buy some proper dry fit leggings. They won't be see through and will hold you in.
