H&M delivery

Does anyone know how long H&M usually take to deliver? They emailed to say my order was 'on its way' but that was 8 days ago and I would have expected it to arrive by now.

Just wanted to find out what the general timescale was before I email them (and presumably get fobbed off with 'it'll arrive any day now!')

It is shockingly awful. Sorry.

EldonAve · 21/05/2015 12:48

Weeks usually

EuphemiaCoxton · 21/05/2015 15:07

They are pants.
You get the email saying your order is on its way and then you get an email days later saying your order will be there within 2 days.
Pain in the posterior.
Zara isn't much more expensive and their service is great for home delivery. And it all arrives folded in tissue paper

KumquatMay · 21/05/2015 15:12

ahh, thanks everyone. seems like it's not a one-off then! Might try Zara in the future Euphemia but H&M do the perfect length strappy tops which is what I was after!

They take bloody ages!

NomiMalone · 21/05/2015 15:35

It is shite.

It all comes from Sweden which is why it takes so long. I've waited 2-3 weeks before Angry .

Googlers123 · 21/05/2015 15:48

I've had terrible waiting times before but I ordered something on Sunday and it arrived today, Thursday. Best ever so I am wondering if things are getting better

Talisin · 21/05/2015 15:55

I've always found the delivery time ridiculous but my last three orders have all arrived within 7-8 days so I was hopeful they were improving.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 21/05/2015 15:57

To add to the above - I placed an order yesterday, only to receive an email today telling me that my order couldn't be fulfilled because of "security reasons". I rang them and it turns out they don't deliver to non-residential addresses Hmm and will only accept a signature from someone at the actual address. To be fair the CS was as helpful as she could be, but I've had to redirect my delivery to my mum's house 50 miles away! And they don't deliver to store either. Seems crazy.

thetropicmama7 · 21/05/2015 16:03

Definitely more than a week. Was shocked at how long it took. I think I have been spoiled by other companies offering free next day delivery!

thewholedamntown · 21/05/2015 16:16

It's always taken a couple of weeks for me as its from Europe. Annoying. I only buy online from there when there's an amazing sale and need it in the future. Confused

diploddycus · 21/05/2015 16:19

Yep, weeks! It comes from Sweden so takes ages. Never buy anything if you need it in a hurry!

chipsandpeas · 21/05/2015 20:20

only buy from them if your not in a hurry

it annoys me the amount of stuff on their website thats delivery only, i live close to about 5 h&m shops and its a nightmare when u see something you like but its web only

KumquatMay · 22/05/2015 10:15

blimey, I thought the long wait time was a one off. And funnily enough I ordered from the website because I thought it would be quicker than going into town! Apparently not!

HappyGirlNow · 22/05/2015 10:17

It's dire. 1-2 weeks minimum. And they seem to accept orders for things they won't get in stock for weeks.

stripytees · 22/05/2015 10:48

Just because it comes from Sweden doesn't explain the long delivery time, by the way, I think they just use a slow service. It's perfectly possible to send a parcel from Sweden to the UK to arrive in 2-5 days.

KumquatMay · 22/05/2015 13:36

They've arrived! hurrah!
