is there anything that can remove it? Nail brush has done nothing and it looks like I'm really grubby and simply don't wash them (which I'm not, at all!)

Lemon juice is meant to work. I've been known to wipe hair dye off my face with cif bathroom cleaner Hmm near alcohol sometimes works too.

Mrsjayy · 20/05/2015 21:21

Diluted washing powder or bleach try the washing powder first

waxmytash · 20/05/2015 21:33

I did this a while back. That stuff is a bugger to try and get off - i tried hair dye remover, body scrub, soaking fingers and nails in bleach,i even tried using an emery board (to rub it off) to get rid of the dammed stuff !!

Sorry to tell you this OP ,but absolutely nothing worked,I was tattooed with the bloody stuff for about 3 weeks until my skin was back to normal,as for my nails, I had to wait until they grew out.

Pity it didn't last quite as long on my brows.

Moral of the story is to always wear gloves and wash hands immediately after.......

Typing with one hand while the other is in a bowl of washing powder... Thanks for replies. I didn't notice I'd done it, it's only two fingers, but is all around the sides and under the nail. Looks bloody awful!

Still gross and now sore.
Bugger

I have one finger like this too! Shite, isn't it? I am never dyeing my brows again! The formula of the stuff I use has changed and is no longer idiot proof... I was cack handed with the dye and managed to dye a big chunk of skin under one of my eyebrows... then rubbed so hard with the developer stuff that I now have a scab!

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 20/05/2015 22:17

Have you tried nail varnish remover?

Carpaccio · 20/05/2015 22:22

Nail polish remover doesn't remove it - at least not on me.
Filing it off the nail with a nail file or applying a dark polish on top until it wears off are the only two things that work for me.
It'll wear off in a few days with regular hand wash and house work anyway.

Nancery · 20/05/2015 22:26

Nail varnish remover and also lemon haven't worked and I can't try and trim it out without hurting myself. Hope it wears off soon, fingers looking like I don't wash isn't good in my job!

Oh no! Your fingers look sore now from scrubbing. When it gets under the nail like that the not found a solution I'm afraid. Can you wear polish at work? I'm be tempted to cover it!

Nancery · 20/05/2015 22:46

Think it might have to be dark polish, although I'm reluctant as it chips so quickly and it will now sting when I try and remove it. Least it's only two of my fingers I suppose and not the whole hand.

Carpaccio · 20/05/2015 22:59

If it really stings, then don't do any more to your poor fingers. Tell people you had a small accident with some hair colour if they ask - it'll look perfectly fine in a few days anyway.

Tutt · 20/05/2015 23:23

If it happens again (not now they are sore) don't scrub them just put neat bleach on for a few seconds then wash in warm soapy water.
I used to be a hairdresser so fingers were always covered in tint and was the only thing to get rid of the stain.

Coastingit · 21/05/2015 00:26

Have you seen the episode of The Simpsons where Lisa gets chewing gum in her hair?

Look it up on YouTube Grin

Sorry OP - hope you get it sorted.
