Something for keeping warm, not a coat

I want something to put on over the top of a heap of different stuff to keep warm before the sun comes out for summer. So I need arms, not a gilet. Not a coat. Maybe a cardigan. Not a waterfall cardigan. But something to save me and everyone else from the sloppy grey thing I'm wearing at the moment

How about a really lovely, thick chunky knit scarf? Or snood? Great for when it gets a bit cooler but not quite chilly enough for a coat. Get one big/thick/long enough to go round shoulders too and it's really cosy

Yes, over t-shirts with jeans mostly. Something that doesn't make me look like a slob

I have a chunky knit edge to edge cardigan from Tu which I wear for this sort of thing. Because it's chunky knit there are lots of "holes" in it which means isn't too hot.
