I need some comfy black knickers, my M & S ones are digging in.

I usually buy m & s midi in a multi pack but I've noticed that by the evening they feel a bit tight on the front at the top of my legs.
I haven't put weight on so I'm not sure why.
Anyway. I need knickers that will go over my cs scar.
So no mini or apple catchers size kecks please.
No synthetics either.

Thanks.

M&s full briefs are your friend. I love them even though dh (and everyone else who sees them) mocks me!

MonstrousRatbag · 19/05/2015 18:55

Sloggis. Go a size up from your usual. Much more expensive, but then they last a lot longer.

ihatethecold · 19/05/2015 19:17

I'm not ready for full briefs yet. Shock

What style sloggi?
And where is the best place to get them?
Debenhams? John Lewis?

Don't give up on M&S just yet! These are the best I've had in years. Really comfortable, no VPL and quite pretty, too. 3-for-2 at the moment. Smile

Nevercan · 19/05/2015 19:30

Go high leg rather than midi style Grin

ihatethecold · 19/05/2015 19:31

I've screen shotted those knickers optimist
They look nice and at 3 for 2, not a bad price.
Thanks.
The sloggi ones are £24 for 3 so I might treat myself to some of those also.
monstrous. you said I should size up with those?

Bonds knickers from John Lewis

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 19/05/2015 19:35

I like the M&S midi single pairs - the ones that are always on 3 for 2. These They are polyester-mix, but I like these better than the cotton ones tbh. Oh and the gusset (cringe at that word!) is cotton. I pretty much live in the black ones.

I gave up on Sloggis because I found them v tight on the thighs (my thighs are really not terribly big - honest!). The M&S ones are much more comfortable.

ihatethecold · 19/05/2015 19:45

Thanks, those m and s ones are the same as optimists link.
I will definitely go and get some.
I'm normally a 12. Should I size up?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 19/05/2015 19:51

No need to size up ime.

Optimist1 · 19/05/2015 19:55

Agreed, no need to size up!

MountainDweller · 19/05/2015 19:55

I find the Sloggi midis very comfortable... More stretch than the M&s ones!

paxtecum · 19/05/2015 19:58

Sloggis are wonderful.

AuntieMaggie · 19/05/2015 20:03

Sainsburys equivalent are really comfy

BitterChocolate · 19/05/2015 20:06

I find Sloggis dig in to the tops of my legs, which is usually an area that is loose as I'm an apple with slim hips and a big waist.

M&S full brief with the lace top are very comfortable, they don't roll or pinch and they look quite nice too considering the go all the way up to the waist. I also quite fancy trying a few pairs of these although I don't know why I bother with pretty pants as nobody will ever see them.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 19/05/2015 20:09

Those lace short things look as if they'd be itchy.

ihatethecold · 19/05/2015 20:36

ok! So I've just managed to spend £50 on the M and S site
Confused

wasn't what i was planning on doing this eve.
I've only bought 3 pairs of kecks and they were on 3 for 2 Blush

I got two packs of Ex Debenhams no vpl with lace at the back for £8, ebay always has great deals like this. They're sooo comfy.

crossparsley · 19/05/2015 20:48

No-one said BhS yet? I gave up on M&S 15+ years ago because the elastic came out, I admit they might have sorted that by now. But BhS do ridiculously good value cotton knickers, £7 for 3-5 pairs I think. You have to dig around on the stand to make sure you've got minis/midis/whatever and the right size (and they are always short on black) but they are proper black and keep their colour and tone.

southeastastra · 19/05/2015 21:08

m and s tangas are fan but rare. John lewis pants are nice too
