Can anybody recommend anything to stop me from looking as though I'm dead?

I am painfully pale. I look washed out.

I can't wear any eye makeup as I am prone to infections and have a damaged cornea in my right eye. I can't even manage any eyeliner Sad

I wear a bit of protect and perfect foundation for for auld hags to minimise wrinkles, but nothing else. I wear glasses and have tiny, piggy eyes.

Skin is in reasonable condition.

Is there anything that I could use that would add a bit of colour and stop me from looking like a bit of watery pastry?

Any tips or product recommendations?

I'd second the colours idea. I look better with no make up but in the right colour top, than I do with make up but in wrong colour.

Well, I went into Boots and the beauty lady there sorted me out with a different foundation, concealer, some blusher and tinted lip gloss. She put some of this stuff onto me and I looked a lot better Smile she said the blusher is what gives you some colour and brings the face to life. She wanted to do my eyebrows with a pencil, but I said I didn't have time.

I'm also going for some semi permanent eyeliner to get round the no eye makeup problem. Dh is worried that I might end up looking like a panda, but the place looks professional, so, fingers crossed Grin

Thank you for the product recommendations, I'll do some searches on them and see what might help. Today's purchases were just to get me started really.

Think about revisiting the eyebrow pencil. I spent 42 years pooh-poohing this and now have started - really, really does make a difference. No-one could tell I have filled in the odd bit but it does do the "frame your face" thing. Just a few delicate strokes take no time.
