mineral makeup/powder recommendations please!

Hi all, I currently use MAC's mineralise skinfinish powder instead of foundation for light coverage with a matte finish. Whilst it's ok, it doesn't blow me away (maybe I'm expecting too much Grin). I wondered about bareminerals and other similar products. Does anyone have any recommendations please? I'm mixed race if that makes any difference, so something with a good range of colours will be needed. Thanks!! Flowers

I use Lily Lolo. You can order samples instead of full size. I initially got 3 shades. That way you can find out if you like it and find a matching shade. They have a fairly wide range of shades. I have used bare minerals and prefer Lily Lolo. Plus it's cheaper.

Inika mineral makeup. Very lovely and fully adjustable coverage. Shades are a bit limited but if you can find yours then it's amazing.

Bellapierre mineral makeup. Truly fantastic. Can't recommend it enough. Again fully adjustable coverage so no need for separate concealer.

W3ll People. Excellent and good coverage. I find it really lasts on your face and looks fresh and luminous. Downside is only a few places sell online. (Cult Beauty and Being Content, although both have stores in Central London).

Lily Lolo is also great and very wallet friendly. Only downside is that you may need separate concealer. However given the price that's not really an issue. Very good products and I'd recommend their pressed eyeshadow and blushes too.

Bare Minerals is crap IMO and not nearly as chemical-free as it claims.

I use Laura Mercier now, very happy with it. Light, easy to apply and gives a lovely glow. (I don't work for them...)

Go to a few different counters and get some samples. Will save you shelling out until you're absolutely sure.

I use bare minerals in the Matte finish and really like it. It's very natural and it's very hard to tell I'm wearing foundation. I don't like the regular bare minerals though - too metallic and shiny.

Thanks! Typically the one sample I think would be perfect has a six week wait on the Lily Lolo website! Sad

Bellas. Have a look at Lily Lolo here www.naturisimo.com

They might have your shade in stock. They are an excellent online shop. I use them a lot.
