Skin covering hot weather clothing

OK. So were moving to the middle east. I need a summer wardrobe. Trousers are fine. I can manageblong light cotton trousers. Tops are causing me headaches!! So, anyone aware of high necked, long sleeved, are covering, light weight tops which aren't semi transparent, or with cut out lacy bits etc.... To add to my issues, I have G norks, so most stuff that buttons up ends up gaping.

All suggestions gratefully received.

Cotton or linen tunic tops, like this one from Uniqlo www.uniqlo.com/uk/store/goods/15668400001?r=4854008759202626676 with loose trousers or a long skirt are good in the heat.

Invest in great sunglasses as you'll wear them a lot.

Be prepared for fierce aircon indoors too, I go to the UAE for work every month and get very cold feet in the office if I'm wearing cropped trousers! Light scarves are great for indoors, for covering up or for keeping the sun off.

Thanks, I was worried about the neck line of those Uniqulo ones. I have a linen on from them, but the cotton one is fairly transparent. Might revisit. Anywhere else you shop from for your UAE trips?

I've got a bulk order of scarves like this is that about the right thing? And will they just stay on my hair (I don't do scarves!)

I lived in M and S white cotton loose shirts - as long as knees and shoulders covered it's fine) if it had a lower neckline worn with a plain camisole/vest top and cropped trousers and Birkenstocks.

Stock up before you go though as although there's a big marks and spencer in Dubai Mall (and many other malls) and most of the British chains you really pay a premium and it's hugely annoying to pay 3 times the price in DH to rip off the tag and find the considerably smaller £ price.

And yes to scarves .. I have a stupid amount mainly shoved in a bag and used as an impromptu shoulder cover up for the school run when I has a vest top on.

Or open shirt with vest top
I wore a lot of maxi dresses with a shoulder scarf as a wrap as well
