I properly love the patchwork jeans. But as a non fashion conscious 50 year old, I'm probably not their hoped for target market

It's pretty much all horrendous. Especially those rank patchwork jeans. Yeuch.

Still to the work classics and decent quality basics. No "hipsters" will go and shop here.

Director I see more people looking at the limited range who are 50 plus than their target market when I am in store .

Don't we all just want great basics? If I want an 'edgy', 'quirky' item of clothing, I'm not looking for it in m and s.

I haven't bought Per Una for years and years but yes they do remind me of the most gorgeous pair of devore jeans that Per Una did in their first year or so. But that was also the time when my then 30 - something friend was sneered at by the sales assistant and told Per Una was a young woman's range
Happy days...

It annoys me so much that they continue to get it so horribly wrong. I LIKE M&S. I want to shop there. But that stuff is ridiculous.

M&S - what we want from you is good quality basics, in sensible colours and natural fabrics. That Is All...

Patchwork jeans are edgy, again?

Seriously, nothing about jeans has been edgy since about 1972, at the latest.

I remember watching the per una programme on TV and being dissaponted that a skirt I tried on didn't fit. The per una part of m and s was a hive of excitement for per una!

I shall be wearing my patchwork jeans in the least edgy way possible. Rest easy

M&S do some nice things (I'm 49 next month, I can say this ).
These don't come into that catergory.

I really like the printed blouse. The rest of it isn't for me. There was a piece in the Guardian today about that suede skirt and M&S's strategy of designing "hero" items which create media hype which was interesting.

I love some of the dresses and actually the patchwork jeans!
But those dungaree things are revolting

I like the green dress but I can't wear M&S dresses because in their world I need a size 8 shoulders, size 12 norks, size 10 waist and size 14 hips.

Everything else is hideous.

The skirts are fab, but the hipster girl print is gopping. Why would an adult wear that?
