Recommend me a BB cream

I'm due to go on holiday and looking for recommendations for a BB cream, what is out there?

I have oily skin but finds the sun helps. Don't want to buy a new foundation and happy to spend about £20

I tried the Borgouis (?) CC cream which I found had as good a coverage as a foundation.

Lovewearingjeans · 18/05/2015 20:41

Garnier is my fave.

thecrimsonpetal · 18/05/2015 21:37

I have the boots botanics one and really like it

CoconutAmericano · 18/05/2015 21:43

Boots Botanics

AmelieinOz · 19/05/2015 22:19

The Face Shop Aura CC cream, hands down.

yazzy85 · 20/05/2015 00:11

Second the Bourjois CC cream. It's lovely coverage and light feel.

TobikkoRoll · 20/05/2015 08:11

I love Dior's BB cream, makes my skin look amazing (might be a bit more than £20 though, sorry).

feckawwf · 20/05/2015 20:43

Sorry but what actually is BB creamBlush (or cc cream even?) is this an alternative to foundation?

Coastingit · 20/05/2015 20:46

Maybelline Dream one is great if you have pale skin. It's SPF30 too so good for holidays. Blends super easily and good coverage.

doublepotions · 20/05/2015 20:47

I really like the body shop one.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 20/05/2015 21:06

Maybelline Dream Fresh or Rimmel.

123rd · 20/05/2015 23:52

Feck, I don't know what it is either ... I have literally no clue about make not own any. I have just started taking a new med and have had a few outbreaks of spots. Is BB/CC cream something crossed between a foundation/concealer/moisturiser ?

elQuintoConyo · 21/05/2015 07:34

They're all a waste of money - but very successfully advertised!

Buy a very good factor 50 sunblock then add your usual makeup.

BB cream = buggery bollocks cream Grin

I started a thread here a couple of days ago asking what BB cream was feckawwf so you aren't alone Grin

saoirse31 · 21/05/2015 08:13

like bobbin brown tho expensive. .

FrugalFashionista · 21/05/2015 08:15

I did a homemade BB cream mixing Neutrogena spf 30 sunscreen and Revlon Colorstay. It is surprisingly good but not nearly as good as my Misshas and Dr Jarts. I find that BBs are a quick way to get decent sun protection and somehow feel better on my skin than traditional liquid foundations. In hot weather they are definitely much better.

PeppermintInfusion · 21/05/2015 08:55

I got a Rimmel one last week, surprised that it is v nice and only £6, so great if you're going back to wearing foundation etc in a few weeks

MilkThistle187 · 21/05/2015 10:04

Another vote for Maybelline dream fresh, it's v good and SPF 30

DubbyDubby · 21/05/2015 10:12

I've got a Rimmel one. I bought it because it's the only range my local pharmacy stocks and needed something urgently.

Good points: Cheap. Stays on. Fairly natural colour.
Bad points: Feels heavy on skin. Explodes out of tube every time I take the lid off!

Ooops sorry for double post

wildfig · 21/05/2015 10:17

I like the Bourjois 123 CC creme - good coverage if you have any redness. I'm not sure you'd apply enough BB cream to get the same SPF protection as you'd get from a facial sunscreen, though - if you're going anywhere seriously sunny you might be better off with a tinted sunblock instead?

echt · 21/05/2015 10:20

Aldi. Tip top.

maybetomorrow22 · 21/05/2015 13:16

Thanks all!
Think I might try Boujouirs one. I tried Nip and fab cc cream but I found it very cakey and unless you had really smooth skin it didn't look good
