This might be bollocks
Ok - nothing wrong with clothes, women looking ace etc.

Just I was reading this article here www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-3086045/Cheryl-Fernandez-Versini-s-Cannes-red-carpet-regime-revealed-Indian-beauty-blogger-Kaushal-Beauty.html and she says about the amount of prep and effort involved etc and the team of people who help her look great.

Then i thought 'why?'. Why does she need all this? She isnt really working here, or promoting anything, or needing any more money, is it just pure vanity.

Have I missed something

Not the point of your post, but oh my, that is 'bold' contouring going on with those cheeks! Wowsers!

worldgonecrazy · 18/05/2015 14:00

I imagine she needs it because if there is anything out of place or she commits a "fashion faux-pas" according to the Daily Mail's list of fashion faux-pas, which includes things like wrinkled dresses, VPL, body hair, too much fake tan, too little fake tan, showing too much flesh, not showing enough flesh, choosing too bright a colour, choosing too dull a colour, having cellulite on any area of the body, then she will be slated in the most widely read online newspaper including close ups of the offending item.

She may be rich and beautiful, but I imagine she is still a human being and likely to feel hurt by such negative scrutiny and therefore does her best to avoid it. Also, she earns money by being the face of a beauty company, and may lose her contract if she appears as anything less than perfect at all times.

oh is she there for loreal?
I SEE

Totally off topic but tbh it doesn't matter how much slap she wears there's something quite ugly about her imo. Like if you scratched the surface it wouldn't take much for her nasty streak to show. I just can't get over the photos of the woman she thumped. I just don't get how she got away with it.

I'd need at least a year's worth of prep before I went on the red carpetWink

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 18/05/2015 14:08

Yes, what world posted.

Floggingmolly · 18/05/2015 14:12

I'm sure she's not in the least "lovely" beneath the surface, Dame. She's as rough as God knows what. Sometimes beauty really is only skin deep.

MrsCampbellBlack · 18/05/2015 14:15

She needs to learn to blend. Or her make up artist does.

She's another Geri Halliwell - done very well on no discernible talent.

whitershadeofpale · 18/05/2015 14:19

There's always lots of celebs at Cannes with no discernible reason to be there. There's lots of rumours about what they get to to as well.

With Cheryl my guess is it's just publicity, not exactly setting the charts alight right now is she.

sebsmummy1 · 18/05/2015 14:21

I thought her make up was awful here too. Really bad advert for L'Oreal assuming it was their make up she was wearing.

Coastingit · 18/05/2015 14:30

It says in the strap line she is there as a 'brand ambassador for Loreal'.

I think she's stunningly beautiful. But the kind of girl I would have been scared of at school, the one who dumped friends at a moment's notice, a real Mean Girl type. I bet she is really horrible, but it doesn't stop her being beautiful.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 18/05/2015 14:40

Floggingmolly Grin

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 18/05/2015 15:03

Going to parties and wearing clothes is her job. She gets well paid for it and it's the path she chose. Fair play to her, she can barely sing and she has come a long way from Geordie racist in a tracksuit but that's why she is there. It's a full time job.dont feel sorry for her, she gets well paid.

BadgersArse · 18/05/2015 17:37

oh i dont READ it Coasting Wink

L'ORÉAL always have a ton of people there, their 'global ambassadors', as they are a major sponsor. Eg And ie McDowell 8 there for the umpteenth year running, Aishwarya Rai is there. Er, and some others.

BadgersArse · 18/05/2015 17:46

ah sorry
My error. I knew it was a nobbish q really

OP posts:
TheSpottedZebra · 18/05/2015 17:56

Wha ? Not nobbish. I'm always up for some light sleb critique, esp if there's a red carpet.
