Help!!! Am coming to London from Oz in July - staying Convent Garden and would like to do some clothes shopping because its rubbish here! Am from UK originally so know some brands etc but its been a very long time! Looking for good basics, knitwear, really well fitting jeans - currently wear AG straight, Nobody and Paige skinny jeans. No patterns - look hideous, nothing floaty either. Nothing retro. Just well fitting good quality clothes. Boots, shoes as well - am willing to spend a bit if good quality - so where should I shop? What brands? I like white company - well, some of their cardis so long as they have shape.

Thankyou!

Covent garden used to be a great shoe place but gradually shops are being driven out and it's not very interesting now. If you want nothing frilly I would recommend high street Japanese shops (Uniqlo, Muji) and Scandinavian (&Other stories, Cos). Jigsaw is very good this season (spring/summer). If your money stretch go to Marylebone high street as they have lots of French stuff (Sandro, Agnes B etc). Shoes are a bit hit and miss but I would stick to Oxford street and New Bond street.
