Minor hair emergency

I have a hair appointment for Thursday. Greys are dreadful, all around my hairline, and further back and really obvious any way I part my hair.
Work announce photo day on Tuesday. ..

Recommendations please for best interim root cover- hair is medium brown and highlighted.

Powders? Dry shampoo with colour deposit? What will cover grey, if anything?

I'm a bit lost, but also determined not to have my current state of disarray immortalised.

TIA

Depending on length of roots talcum powder will lighten or a dry shampoo with a blonde spray added to it. I'd practice loads before then tho...

Tbh, I'd plead and beg hairdresser to fit me in sooner. Or find another.
You aren't going to disguise it and it will look worse and be immortalised.

solidarityplease · 17/05/2015 21:41

Oh God, don't say that!
I haven't got time to fit in an appointment before Thursday, it's not really an option.

It's not a close up portrait btw, so hopefully won't be as bad as I'm thinking

No idea of your hair style but try Googling 'scarf round head' - lots of ideas there.

What about some of those root touch up mascaras?

AJNH · 17/05/2015 21:51

Can you not stick a semi permanent dye on your roots?

I don't have highlights! Just dark hair so that'd be my easiest option! ... Highlights may be a whole new board game Grin

Josh Woods @ M&S ?
A brush on colour for roots.
They do Colour WOW on QVC but you won't get that before Tuesday. Handy to watch the presentation though to show you how to.

If you get the M&S one you can at least get a practice session in.

I really didn't want to go down the dye route as just starting to get colour back to how it should be, after a stint of DIY jobs.

My grey isn't really grey, pretty much white.

Has any one tried bumble and bumble hair powder?

Just going to look at those mascaras....

My hairdresser recommended hair lipstick, but I haven't tried it yet. www.amazon.co.uk/Cover-Gray-Women-Medium-Brown-Lipstick/dp/B000TC0NIS

Oo thank you, I'll look at the hair powders and the lipstick looks good, although apparently better if you have a' few' Grey's. I've got bloody loads. ??
