Networking dress - help!

I have a networking event next week that I have been asked to cover. I don't usually go and have no idea what to wear.

My office is quite casual but of course I need to make more of an effort with what I wear and look professional and together.

I have this Hobbs dress which is gorgeous but have no idea how to style it - shoes, jacket/cardigan, jewellery??

Any suggestions/advice?

Do you have a navy 'chanel type' jacket (i.e. round neck, cropped to the waist)?

Navy sandals/heels.

Is it daytime, or nighttime?

It's an all day thing.

No Chanel jacket and not sure I could justify buying one as unlikely to wear again.

Heels, ideally navy not nude. Not peep toe / open toe

Shrug type cardigan like this one from Monsoon. They have several similar styles I think

Scarf and / or statement necklace

I'd have red or possibly a deep yellow (not gold) to accessorise

I don't mean actual chanel! I mean a knock off in that style- usually M&S, Hobbs, etc have them each summer
