Can anyone help me choose pearl earrings?

Its my DD's 21st birthday later this year and she would like some pear stud earrings and perhaps a pearl pendant, very plain, classic design.

I know very little about pearls and after googling I'm not really much clearer. Total budget is about £350.00.

Have a look at honora pearls on QVC. Some of their stuff looks lovely but I've not paid enough attention at price point That and if she doesn't like what you buy you can return within 30 days - even if earrings are worn.
