Which eyeshadows stay put?

Can anyone recommend an eyeshadow (nude & subtle bronze colours) that has good staying power? I find after an hour my eye shadow has completely disappeared!

Thank you

You need a primer and any eyeshadow will stay put. Urban Decay has an excellent one:

I have the same problem, but I've recently discovered NARS eye shadows. Combined with a primer, they stay on really well. They are expensive though.

Nars is ace. I have two good eye primers (UD and Artdeco, the latter is my fave) but find them a bit faffy and love Nars because the shades are über pretty and stay on so well. I get at least 9 hours of flawless wear from them without primer and I've worn them in hot and sweaty and cool and drizzly weather.

Also check out your eye products. Are you using greasy removers or oily eye creams. I find those can make makeup slide off..

All eyeshadows will stay put with a decent primer, Urban Decay is the holy grail primer. Some eyeshadows are more heavily pigmented than others meaning you need less product to get a good coverage. MAC is good for this, as well as NARS and other high end ones. The cheaper ones are more 'watered down' and need more product to build up the colour.

I second urban decay. it saves money in long run as chaeper shadows have staying power.

I was just about to post a thread but since there's this one, I'll post my question here.

I'm looking for inexpensive (fiver max) eyeshadows that give good colours. I bought a gold one the other week but it's not very good at all - poor colour (more yellow than gold) and looks really powdery once on.

Do any of you have any recommendations? Smile

I believe Collection have a nude palette of eyeshadows that are meant to be excellent quality for the price.

Thank you I will give the eye primer a go.

Maybeline 24 hour tattoo
Rimmel shadowsticks

Coastingit · 13/05/2015 12:59

MUA do a great palette that's a ripoff of the Naked ones.

CoconutAmericano · 13/05/2015 13:03

Yes those Rimmel eyeshadow sticks last. I wore one yesterday, applied at 7:30 am and it was still in place perfectly at 10pm. Think theyre called scandaleyes.

Sussexelaine · 13/05/2015 18:40

Is there a specific Nars variety that is best?

Dior every time. Deep pigments that last. Expensive though

Madbengalmum · 13/05/2015 18:50

Chanel is my favourite, MAC is also very good

mewkins · 13/05/2015 20:30

Revlon colourstay ones are good.

BlueberryMuffins76 · 13/05/2015 21:01

Benefit, Birthday Suit. The best eyeshadow I have ever worn!

LL0015 · 13/05/2015 21:06

Chanel
Laura mercier
Mac

Sorry. I have expensive taste. But my Chanel quad is about 6 years old so it lasts and lasts.

Sparkletastic · 13/05/2015 21:08

Urban Decay primer. And no knock offs are a patch on the Naked palette.
