Your best Babyliss Big Hair tips?

I've bought one. Went for the 42mm barrel as I have short (just above shoulder length) thick hair and my research tells me the 50mm is better for much longer barnets. Picking it up from Boots tomorrow.

I've looked at a few online tutorials but thought I'd mine the collective knowledge of mumsnet as well. What's your top tip? How do you use yours? Which online tutorial did you find most useful?

Thanks!

Ok, I have a graduated bob and luff my BBH. I rough dry my hair to about 80% dry with my hair dryer. Then I use the BBH. I clip it in to sections then dry. I use it in a similar way to a round brush (I love it because it requires less co-ordination!), hold it at the roots for a few seconds then pull through. I use a fine-toothed comb to comb sections through when I've finished so it's neat and not too voluminous. If I'm going out I use mousse before I blow dry because it makes it fuller and smoother.

Stick to the middle setting - the fastest always manages to get my hair tangled. Other than that, it's so easy to use, you won't need many tips! I dry to about 80% as well, then clip up the top section around my crown! whizz the BBH around the bottom bit, remove clips, whizz the top bit et voila! If I'm in a rush, I can brush my teeth with my other hand...seriously, it's easy. Tho less easy I suspect if you have very thick or curly hair.
