Aargh please help, I'm a size 14-16 and need a dress for a wedding which is being held at a campsite in Scotland in three weeks. I have two toddlers to run around after and am 5 foot seven so nothing too short please. Am better with less structured look. Please help!

Would go for cos like dress with statement necklace (minimal not jewels- think chunky metal band etc)
Lipstick
Simple flat shoes- wedges at a push you'll sink the whole time...

How about something like this with a pair of wedges?

Pantsalive · 12/05/2015 00:43

This is lovely.

Pantsalive · 12/05/2015 00:48

This maybe too structured.

Oh no, the third link didn't work and I can't remember what it was. Grr.

Do you mean the reception is being held on a campsite and you are camping? And the B&G really think people are going to be dressed to the nines? With no irons, hairdryers etc to hand?

dexter73 · 12/05/2015 17:36

What about a jumpsuit?

Anotheronesoon · 12/05/2015 18:34

Thanks for tips- yes we are staying in yurts and tipis and the campsite is near the beach. We are all quite relaxed so think it will be a fab weekend. Do you think a maxi dress might work. Would quite like tops of arms covered though.

A maxi dress sounds good.

Do you feel the cold? I'd want trousers, boots and a coat.

hauntedhenry · 12/05/2015 20:29

Yes, maxi dress sounds good. With a little cardi or something to cover your arms if you don't like them.

Coastingit · 12/05/2015 20:34

Scotland in 3 weeks will be cold! So plan to have a fur jacket or similar, then maybe a maxi dress and you could probably get away with smart block heeled boots if your dress is long, you'll be a lot warmer.

Anotheronesoon · 12/05/2015 20:36

Might see if there is a kimono style maxi about then I'll be well covered! I'm hoping it will be nice and warm in the day and we will probably be in a marquee at night! Am toying with a jumpsuit but it's a bit outside my comfort zone!Grin
